Monks Park

Valley Bars Circle, Pocasset, MA 02559
A kayaker pulls his boat on shore at Monks Park in Bourne, Cape Cod.

Tucked deep into conservation lands on a peninsula with amazing panoramic views, Monks Park is a great change of pace and escape from the crowds of the larger beaches. Kayakers and paddleboarders will enjoy the calm waters and scenery to explore. The area is also a popular fishing spot and nature enthusiasts will find plenty of trails to explore. The marshy beach isn’t very big, but is relatively free of crowds. Parking is limited to Bourne resident passholders. There are no restrooms at the beach, but in-season there is a portable toilet closer to the entrance near the railroad bridge.
