Queen Sewell Pond

Cherry Street, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532
A lifeguard chair sits in the shade on a quiet summer day at Queen Sewell Pond in Bourne, Cape Cod.

Queen Sewell Pond, also known as Bumps Pond, is a freshwater pond located on the northern side of the Cape Cod Canal. Kids will enjoy the small playground area and splashing around in the shallow waters. Parking is limited to Bourne resident passholders only. Keep an eye out for posted signage, as elevated bacteria levels have led to the pond being closed for swimming in recent years. Electric Avenue is a nice nearby alternative in the event of closure.
