Jackknife Harbor Beach

Bay Road and Route 28, Chatham, MA
Boats line the shore at Jackknife Harbor Beach in Chatham, Cape Cod.

A truly unique Cape Cod beach, Jackknife Harbor Beach has something for the entire family. The calm, protected waters are great for kids and swimmers. The exposed sand bars and shallow pools during low tide create a fun, safe area for kids to play around in. Kayakers, paddle boarders and boaters will enjoy the easy access to Pleasant Bay. Even dogs can get in on the fun, as Jackknife is one of the only beaches in the area that allows dogs in-season (before 9am and after 6pm). On top of all that parking is free, but make sure to show up early to get a spot. The unmarked entrance is located 1,000 ft to the south of the intersection of Bay Road and Route 28.
