Don’t be scared off by the name, Cold Storage Beach features warm, calm, sheltered water and is great for swimming. The beach itself is relatively small and bounded by private beaches on both sides, but limited parking helps to keep the crowds light. Daily passes are not available, so try Corn Hill Beach instead if you’re looking for a single-day trip to a bay side Truro beach.

Truro beach passes are required to park between the hours of 9am – 4pm from the third Saturday in June through Labor Day. Beach parking lots are free all other times. Passes can be used at all Truro beaches with the exception of the National Seashore section of Head of the Meadow Beach.

Dogs prohibited between 9am – 6pm from the third Saturday in June through Labor Day. Additional temporary bans on pets are occasionally put in place to protect nesting birds. Check posted signage.
