Clean, sandy and great for swimming and beachcombing, Thumpertown Beach is a popular option for families. When the tide is out there’s plenty of room to spread out. Kids will enjoy searching for critters in the tidal pools and the entire family will love the spectacular sunsets. During high tide there isn’t a lot of space on the beach, but the small parking lot helps to alleviate overcrowding. The beach is only accessible via staircase, so consider visiting nearby Campground Beach if you need easier access.

Eastham beach passes are required to park at town beaches from June 18th through Labor Day. Beach parking lots are free all other times. Passes can be used at all Eastham beaches with the exception of the National Seashore beaches (Nauset Light Beach and Coast Guard Beach).
