Small and scenic, Windmill Beach sits along Bass River and gets its name from the historic Judah Baker Windmill that sits along the shore. The parking lot is small and the beach is even smaller, so don’t expect to have a lot of room to spread out. Windmill Beach is better suited for photo opportunities, launching kayaks/paddleboards, and a quick stop to take in the sights rather than relaxing on the beach. For the full beach experience, travel just down the road to Smuggler’s Beach instead.
