Tucked in among the cottages of Harwich Port, Atlantic Avenue beach is a great spot for relaxing or taking a swim in the warm waters of Nantucket Sound. The beach is relatively small and popular among the residents and renters of the neighborhood, so arrive early to stake your spot. The beach is only reachable via a staircase from the small parking lot, so consider nearby Bank Street Beach if accessibility is an issue.

Harwich beach stickers are required to park at town beaches from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Beach parking lots are free all other times. Weekly and seasonal passes can be used at all Harwich beaches. Day passes are sold at and valid only for Earle Road Beach, Pleasant Road Beach, Red River Beach and Long Pond.
