Popular among locals, John’s Pond is a freshwater beach featuring a modern playground, covered picnic area and clean water for swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding. Scattered pine trees provide some nice shaded areas on the shore. The large parking lot requires the purchase of a parking pass ahead of time in-season.

A weekly visitor pass or seasonal resident pass is required to park at all town-owned Mashpee beaches from mid-June until Labor Day. Passes are valid for Attaquin Park, John’s Pond and the town lot at South Cape Beach.
