Nauset Beach

Beach Road, Orleans MA 02653
A shark flag blows in the breeze above Nauset Beach in Orleans, Cape Cod.

One of the most popular beaches on the Cape, Nauset Beach features a large parking lot with restrooms, changing stations and food. The water is a bit colder than other beaches on the cape and chances are you’ll see a few seals in the water. This is a popular area for sharks as well, so use caution when swimming. Surfing is permitted in portions of the miles-long beach. The south end of the parking lot has access for 4WD vehicles with an oversand permit to drive out on the beach.
